You may notice that our concentrated powders now have slightly different packaging: a little bag which sits inside our home-compostable box. A complexity of using a home-compostable box is that they can be very fragile, and we want to ensure that these concentrates arrive to you safe, secure, and ready to mix! Of course, the little bags inside are compostable, biodegradable, and made from a renewable plant source. Depending on your region, the packaging you receive may vary as we transition to include the clever little bags. Wanted to love it

Using combo of balancing conditioner and shampoo, only for a few days so far but will likely not be repurchasing any of the concentrates based on my experience thus far. Hair feels more oily after use, and the conditioner looks like it's separating a few days after being thoroughly mixed up.

Really wanted to love these concentrates after finding out my skin is sensitive to coconut oil and these were about the closest low-waste hair care I could find that didn't clearly include it.

Clumpy and clogs hand pump of bottle but is good for my hair and smells amazing

When my balancing conditioner concentrate arrived, the humidity must have gotten to it because the fine granules in the box (no bag in that one) were all clumped together in a solid mass. I followed the instructions and used boiling water in a heat proof jug and tried to break the clumps up - spent over half an hour attempting it, with bursts in the microwave to add heat back to replace the heat that had dissipated during that time. Then used a whisk to try and help too. But tiny clumps remained and then subsequently clogged up the hand pump of the glass bottle I had transferred it into. I now have to unscrew the hand pump and tip some onto my hand while I'm in the shower which is awkward. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the shampoo concentrate even though the granules were also clumped up upon arrival so perhaps it's something to do with the recipe for the conditioner in particular? I persevered through to the end of the bottle and then ordered another, thinking perhaps it was a one off and with less humidity the next purchase may not have the same result. But it has happened again. I can't afford the bars so will have to keep buying this product as I want to protect our planet, but it would be great if a solution could be found so the experience is less frustrating in future. Besides from that, it does do good things for my hair and smells amazing.

Fantastic

I use a stick blender so it’s extra thick. I have done it with a hand whisk as well. I was surprised how easy it was. Great product.

This kinda sucked

I really wanted to like this but couldn’t. Didn’t really mix well, it didn’t really thicken up, I have to shake it up before every time I use it because it separates . Ended up pouring it out.

May I ask how you made this one up?

If it's helpful, I've copied below how best to make up our Conditioner Concentrate:
Pop entire powder contents into a heat-proof jug.
Add 320ml (10.82 fl. oz.) of boiling water and mix vigorously with a whisk. Mix until fully melted. For extra creaminess, give it a burst with a stick blender!
Allow to cool slightly (don’t leave it too long), then pour into a bottle you already own. It won't thicken up immediately, so leave for an hour or two to reach perfect consistency. Don’t forget to pop a label on it so you don’t mix it up!||
