Nectar™ Unscented Lip Balm

Love it! I recently purchased this as my go-to brand of lip balm has discontinued the one I like so I thought I’d try this (I already use shampoo, conditioner & body wash bars from Ethique).

The balm itself is lovely. It is genuinely unscientific and has no “flavour” or taste of any of the ingredients. It goes on smoothly and easily (I do swipe multiple times!). It’s not at all greasy and seems to last a long time, unlike many balms that seem to disappear soon after applying.

I was sceptical as to how robust the non-plastic packaging would be but the cardboard tube is very sturdy and has stood up well to being flung around in a handbag.

The balm is larger than most so already seems good value for money. I’ve high hopes it will last well as its consistency is also quite hard (although swipes really easily).

I’ve now bought a few more for other bags and my bedside table. I am converted. Highly recommend.

I bought this lip balm for my partner to try and encourage more plastic free purchases. He's pretty picky and really loves this lip balm. It is enough to glide on and feels like its moisturiser your lips. It's also great to have an unscented balm as they're often sickly sweet. Have bought it many times sinces

Each application lasts ages and my lips feel great. Will definitely purchase again.

I love this balm in a compostable container. Tied with Dr. Hauschka lip balm stick. They use similar ingredients and both work better than any other and I have tried just about everything. Most balms don't do the job or have any staying power. This is great—nourishing, healing, not waxy, and thankfully no flavor.

Another lip balm great for using on your upper lip, as it has no colour. It is thick and long lasting and I found it still remained on my lips come morning. It helps protect in cold weather by staying put for a long time and is also good for emergency care for chapped hands in the cold.

As I have sated in previous reviews about the nature of the packaging, please be aware with the last centimetre in the tube:

It will become hard to get your finger up the tube to push it and even average female knuckles WILL become lodged, so use a pencil at that point.

If it has warmed slightly from a pocket or being in a slightly warm room, the slightest softening will make it impossible to put the lid on it when pushed up without it adhering to the lid, disconnecting from the cardboard plunger and getting lodged in the lid when you next use it, so try not to push it up too much or you will lose the last of it to the lid. And it can’t be pushed back into the inner tube without becoming mush.

A wonderful product for someone who has suffered from a lifetime of dry upper lip and horrible greasy lipbalms. Will be buying again.
